Dear team,

If we set SMBUSz to pull down when SMB us slave Operation, please review below operation and let me know your opinion.

1. The host recognize 4 USB hub 0x44, 0x45, 0x46, 0x47h. is it normal operation?

At datasheet like below, It seems normal for the host controller to recognize 44h, 45h and 46h. but what is 47h?

2. If a customer modifies the device register value (00h to FFh) of one of the 0x44, 0x45, 0x46, 0x47h, does the other device value also change?

for example, when the customer modifies the device register value (00h to FFh) of 0x44 device, the register value of 0x45, 0x46, 0x47h is also changed. is it normal operation?

Nam:

1: it should be normal., we just don't use 0x47.

2: 0x45 is from 100h -1FFh, 0x46 is 200h-2FFh, so there are different register.

I knew each device has different register but when the customer selected 0x44 device and change value of 00h to FFh register, the register value of 00h to FFh on 0x45,46,47 device is also changed, is this also normal operation?

with 0x45, it only start from 100ho1FFh, no register from 00h-FFh.

I understand your comment.But When the customer read 00h-FFh on 0x45, they can see same result when read 00h-FFh on 0x44.

Please let me know your opinion on this.

Nam:

for 0x45, only 100h-1FFh matters. Even if you can read 00h-FFh at 0x45, it doesn't matter.
