DS90UB954-Q1EVM: step to take configuration files when paired with camera 935 serializer

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB935-Q1, ALP

Hi,

I am using DS90UB934-Q1EVM-deserilaizer with my DS90UB935-Q1 (serializer) i have got lock status in deserializer board(led blink) and i2c address. I need those configuration files .can you tell the steps to take those configuartion files.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your question. What configuration files are you referencing? Are you asking about the predefined scripts in the ALP profile? If so, you can access those on the scripting tab of ALP or in the folder containing the ALP profiles found on your computer from the software download. It looks like you may have attached an image to your post, but it is not visible on my end. Could you try to reattach the image or use a different file type?

    Regards,
    Darrah

  • While locking the serializer with de-serializer i2c address has been fetched in back side of ALP tool...that configuration files we need.how can i get that?

  • While serailiser and deserailiser is initialised , certain registers will be loaded. We want the registers data log during initial initialisation .

Can you tell the method to obtain the log . If any script, to be runned. Kindly share the script.

  • Hello,

Do you mean a log of all of the default register settings of the devices when they are powered up and initialized? The serializer and deserializer will automatically configure/initialize themselves based on the strapped modes and connections at power up so there is no need to have an additional initialization script to achieve lock. The default values of all registers are listed in the datasheet. Additionally, you can download a log of all the register values from ALP at any time before or after the devices are locked from the "Registers" tab in ALP. If you click "save" you will be able to download a .nrd file of the register values or click "display" to open a window with the register values that can be copied and pasted into another program such as a word document or text file.

There is no way in ALP to keep track of which registers were changed during initialization, but you can download the registers log before initialization/lock and compare those values to the log after initialization/lock to see what has changed. However, as mentioned earlier, these register settings will occur automatically when the devices are powered and connected so the exact register changes do not need to be implemented in a script.
