we want to transfer mini LVDS(6 lanes data ) to LVDS signal(4 lanes data), any solution to do this?

Hi,
We don't have any device specified for mini-LVDS. However, it may be possible connect it directly to an LVDS receiver without any need for converting. Can you please share the electrical specifications of the mini-LVDS driver and targeted data rate?
Thanks
David
Hi,
Do you have the mini-LVDS electrical spec? Sometime the mini-LVDS driver can meet the LVDS receiver electrical requirement so you can connect mini-LVDS to LVDS directly.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
thanks for your replay.
the electrical spec shown as attachment.
can you help to recommend the related chip for mini LVDS to LVDS,thanks.
Hi,
I am looking for the DC electrical characteristics, not AC electrical characteristics. For example, below is the DC electrical characteristics for the LVDS input, do you have a similar spec for mini LVDS output?
Thanks
David
Hi,
Do you have a particular LVDS part you want to use? Use the example in my previous response,
The mini LVDS differential output voltage is from 200mV to 400mV, and LVDS receiver input differential voltage is from 0 to 1V. So the mini LVDS differential output voltage is within the LVDS receiver input voltage range.
The mini LVDS common mode is from 1 to 1.4V, and this is also within the LVDS receiver of 0.05 to Vcc - 0.05V.
So for mini LVDS, both the common mode voltage and differential voltage is within this particular LVDS receiver range and you can drive the mini LVDS directly into LVDS.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
do have any recommend for me? the resolution of video is 800*400@60Hz and we need to converter to HDMI finally.
Hi,
Please take a look at this e2e thread, https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/900607/ds90cr286a-lvds-to-hdmi as one potential solution.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
thanks your your link again.
can you help to evaluate the feasibility of this product or connecte to the mini LVDS output?
Hi,
Is this a TI LVDS RX? I can not provide support if it is not a TI product.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
one last question about the solution, it can converter 800*400@60Hz video source?
thread, https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/900607/ds90cr286a-lvds-to-hdmi as one potential solution.
Hi,
What is the pixel clock frequency for 800*400@60Hz? I calculated the pixel clock frequency to be ~23MHz, is this correct?
The TFP401 minimum supported frequency is 25MHz as shown below, you have to make sure the pixel clock is within TFP401 clock range.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
any solution for this pixel clock ? such as increase the length of front and rear porch.
Hi,
You could increase the length of the front and rear porch, this will increase the Htotal and Vtotal, and also the pixel clock. But you have to make sure this will not cause any issue with the display you are trying to interface.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
thanks for your notices.
I pant to use the FPD23DAEVM to achieve LVDS to HDMI, and the LVDS video come from DS90UB948 with 800*400@60Hz.
any proposal or notices for me?
Hi,
For the EVM design file, please check this e2e thread, https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/738598/ds90ub926q-q1-the-connecting-conversion-board/2738916?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=FPD23DAEVM#2738916.
You may want to start with the 800*600 resolution as it is the most basic resolution that most monitor will able to support.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
the video resolution from DS90UB948 is not normal one, 800*400. so from the EVM board just support FPD-Link I input, right?
Hi,
For LVDS to HDMI, you would use DS90CF386(www.ti.com/.../ds90cf386.pdf) and TFP410, why do you need DS90UB948?
Thanks
David
Hello David,
because the video come from one ECU with DS90UH941A, so we need to use the 948 to deser the video.
Hi,
I forwarded your question to our FPD-Link team for their support on DS90UH941A and 948.
Thanks
David
Hello David,
Thanks very much.
so I need to wait their replay and close this my issue.
Hi Mengyao,
Can you clarify what the end to end video path would look like in your inquiry? If 941 is on remote ECU, you would need another FPD-Link III deserializer to covert from FPD-Link to another protocol (OLDI, CSI, etc). What format downstream is required? 6 lane mini-LVDS?
Regards,
Logan
Hello Logan,
thanks for your replay.
our video path shown as the pic and the mini LVDS is come from TCON with 6 lanes.
Hi,
Usually mini-LVDS is a lower level protocol from TCON to display source/row drivers in panel itself.
This isn't an interface we support in our portfolio, therefore a different conversion solution from mini-LVDS to OLDI/RGB/etc would be needed prior to connecting to other TI device.

Logan
