TUSB422: connection issue between TUSB422 and MACBOOK

Hi team,

   Support need!!!

   When customers used tusb422 to connect to the C port of macbook, they found that TUSB422 could not receive the Get Source Cap Extended packet sent by mac. It timed out and did not reply, resulting in soft_reset and unstable connection. When the computer is a macbook, the above problems are bound to occur.

   Could you please help me to figure out this issue?

    Hi Nan,

    Has your customer already enabled support for PD 3.0 and extended messages? The software, when requested from TI.com, should come with a users guide describing how to enable support for these features named "TUSB422 MCU Software Users Guide". Please ensure your customer has these settings enabled.

    Additionally, keep in mind that we provide this software "as-is" on TI.com, meaning that while we provide the customer the source code and other files, we are currently unable to provide support for them, so we encourage customers to read the source code and determine how to properly adapt it to their requirements.
