DP83843: Looking for technical help on implementation in SYMBOL mode-

Can you please check if you can observe toggling on RX_CLK, TX_CLK with symbol mode disabled?

There is no change of signal behaviour at pin 18 (RX_CLK) with SYMBOL- mode (pin 22) pulled down or floating.  When floating, the signal on Pin 22 is scoped as high.

Some extra info:

     • FXEN- Is pulled to gnd (It is a fiber application)

     • MDIO has 1.5K pullup and MDC is pulled to gnd

     • AN0 is tied to +5V and AN1 is floating

I have a new observation...

While power is applied Pin 18 (RX_CLK) emits 2 clock pulses after the RESET pulse occurs

I can make a RESET occur.  This occurs each time.

Thank you for your help!  I had tried the things you asked before we connected, but it is good to know that I am looking in the right places!

I tried to connect at 3 places in TI.  By now I have been contacted by all three groups. Only Gerome and you have responded in a good way.
