USB PD (Power Delivery) with EPR (Extended Power Range) up to 240 W

Dear support,

we want to desgin USB PD EPR with up to 240 W into our product (power sink). Unfortunately I cannot find details to a roadmap or preliminary details for appropriate port controllers.

I was in contact with customer support (CS1987448: Roadmap) and they redirected us here to this forum. Please can you share with us any details that supports us for designing in appropriate parts.

Hello Martin,

Our team is actively working on a new PD3.1 PD controller that will be capable of handling the full 240W power range, but unfortunately this will not be available until next year.

Thank you for your feedback. Great, that TI is working on a new PD controller solution for 240W. Can you share details with us so that we can start designing in such a solution?

Hi Martin,

Unfortunately I cannot share any specific details at this moment as this device is still under active development. Please reach back out at the beginning of the year as we should be able to share more information then.
