DS90CF386: the resolution for LVDS to HDMI

Hi Mengyao,

The FPD-Link version is not a problem because all you want to do is convert the LVDS signal to HDMI signal. I added 10% to Hactive and Vactive resolution on the left side of the diagram and calculated the Pixel Clock as ~23MHz. Can you confirm the Pixel Clock? The minimum required PCLK for the TP410 is 25MHz, do you meet this minimum requirement?

   thanks for your replay.

the video resolution is 800*400@60Hz and the video sink is from one ECU, GC to serlizer 941A , and we use deser 948 to deser the video, this is video link.

any proposal for this situation?

by the way how to test the video resolution?

   about the PCLK I will check with my input side. I have a concern about the resolution, 800*400. because is not a normal one, is it a problem for FPD23DAEVM?

Hi Mengyao,

The TFP410 supports a minimum pixel rate of 25MHz and a maximum pixel rate of 165MHz. As long as the PCLK fits within this range the device will work. Can you let me know what is the PCLK used for this video? I calculated ~23MHz; however, I only added 10% horizontal blanking and 10% vertical blanking.

This equation is being used to determine the PCLK:

PCLK = Total Horizontal pixel * Total Vertical Pixel * Refresh rate

    for the pixel clock requirement I will add a scaling the resolution to fulfill this requirement. but I want to know the input video is not the normal one and is it ok for TFP410 to Converter the eRGB to HDMI (T.M.D.S.)?
