The EVM for the TUSB6250 hasn't been available for 6+ years.  I do have firmware for this device, but the software is provided as-is with no support.

Ok I figured that there weren't any more EVM's being made.  Is there a chance you have a loaner?

I will take the firmware and see if it does what we are looking for.  I currently use the 9620 USB to SATA and the firmware is terrific.  I have made some updates to it for our uses.

Does the same tool load the f/w to the PATA chip?

Hi Dan,

The firmware and software for are different.  I took a look through the application notes, and it also suggests the software is incompatible. 

What is the motivation behind switching from the TUSB9261 to the TUSB6250?

I took a look and couldn't find any EVMs in inventory to loan.

Hi Nicholaus,

This is for a different project, so not switching from the 9261, it is still working fine.  Go ahead and send me the firmware sources and the loader to study and see if it meets what I'm looking for.  If so, I'll just build a card and test it out.
