DS125BR800: Unused pins and unused channels

Part Number: DS125BR800

Customer is testing DS125BR800 repeater for JESD204B in SMBus (slave mode).

How to tie the unused pins, such as MODE, READ_EN and ALL_DONE?

If customer is using 4 or 6 channels only, how should they be connected if permanently unused?

    Hi Eddie,

    MODE: This pin retains control of the output driver characteristics in SMBus mode. MODE pin control can be overridden by asserting register 0x08[2].

    READ_EN: This pin operates as SD_TH in SMBus slave mode. SD_TH pin control can be overridden by asserting register 0x08[6].

    ALL_DONE: This pin is a "don't care" output in SMBus slave mode. It can be left floating or tied to GND.

    Unused channels can be powered down through SMBus register writes. First override PWDN pin control by asserting register 0x02[0], then disable specific channels with register 0x01. When channels are disabled, their input/output pins are "don't care" and can be left floating or tied to GND.
