SN75DP139: Swapping Lanes

Hi,

For this device, are you able to swap lane0, lane1, lane2, and lane3 on the input side, provided you swap the lane accordingly on the output side as well?

Also, inside each lane is it possible to swap _p and _n if you swap both the input and output side?

Hi,

With the DP139 4 lanes being the same, you can swap the lane and the lane polarity as long as the lane order and polarity are matched between the DP139 input and output.

Hi David,

Ok, thanks for the information! One follow up question is looking at the Pin Function table in the datasheet, it seems like lane 4 is meant to be dedicated to the TMDS Clock based on the output. Is this the case, or can it be considered the same as a TMDS data lane and the clock can be be on any of the 4 lanes?

Matthew,

The 4 lanes are the same, you can use any of them as the CLOCK lane as long as the lane order matches between the input and the output.
