Hello,

We have made a layout change to one of our PCBAs that is intended to improve the signal integrity of the Ethernet.

We now have to verify this and want to carry out an Ethernet compliance test.

I have already found the following document:

We would need this for our TI - TLK110PT so that we can address the respective registers.

Can you support us with this?

    Hi Patrick,

    Is this for a new design? The TLK110 has been NRND for a few years now, so we recommend switching to one of our newer devices. The DP83848I is P2P with the TLK110 (except for pin 21).

    Please see the design and layout guide SLVA531 for the best board design practices.

    Hello,

    no it's not for a new design. This is for an already existing design. We just made some modifications to  improve the signal integrity of the Ethernet.

    We need the same document for the TI - TLK110PT so that we can address the respective registers.

    Hi Yves,

    Since the device has been NRND for a few years now, the support I can provide is limited. 

    All the available collateral we have on the TLK110 is on the ti product page: https://www.ti.com/product/TLK110

    From the datasheet, it seems the TLK110 has only been tested for IEEE802.3-2002 clause 22. The appnote you linked for the DP838xx is for PMD clause 25.

    If you tell me your system requirements and the compliance tests you are trying to meet, I can try to recommend an appropriate part for your design.
