Hi team,
How to download USB-2-MDIO GUI? Thanks
Customer wants to use the GUI to control DP83TD510E-EVM.
Hi Melissa,
My customer has 2 questions here. thanks
1. Install USB2MDIO before need to upgrade MSP430 drivers.
But seems no support for 64bit Win11. windows can not find any device. any new version issue?
2. Based on your provided USB2MDIO GUI. The customer needs other script files. ex: AutoNegotiation_lnitializatoion.txt.
Hi Jimmy,
1. Install USB2MDIO before need to upgrade MSP430 drivers.
Is this driver not working for the customer?
2. Based on your provided USB2MDIO GUI. The customer needs other script files. ex: AutoNegotiation_lnitializatoion.txt.
I have attached another .exe file with the uninstall files and license information. Our program does not come with script files, but there is a sample script in section 2.3.5 here. Autoneg is enabled/disabled by strapping but can be changed through register 0x130.
Best regards,
Melissa
Hi Melissa,
Yes, the driver cannot work for customer.
Customer open first you provided GUI. saw the DEMO words.
Let the customer suspect the GUI, not the production version.
Hi Jimmy,
We don't have a Demo vs Production version. This is the most current version.
Please check if the EVM is automatically detected in the USB2MDIO Program through the following steps:
If the PHY is not being detected in a new COM port, follow these steps to correctly flash the MSP:
1. Download Uniflash from the TI website
2. Open Uniflash and search from the name of the MSP device (USB1)
3. Load the script
4. Load the Image (attached as 'MSP430-USB2MDIO-CDC.txt')
5. Hit update.
6. Go to Device Manager in your computer and check the PORT section. Check if there is a new device with the label 'USB Serial Device'.
Best regards,
Melissa
Hi Melissa,
The USB2MDIO GUI cannot auto-detect the EVM. customer cannot see any COM port.
Then, the customer downloads Uniflash and picks up the same MCU with a different EVM board.
and Load the Image (attached as 'MSP430-USB2MDIO-CDC.txt') but shows the info below.
Hi Jimmy,
Would be able to check if the customer followed these steps? They must be followed for the EVM to be auto detected by the USB2MDIO GUI.
They are mentioned in the DP83TD510 User's Guide here:
Best regards,
Melissa
