Can you help on this?

    Hi Len,

    Nope - we don't specify that. They can use the thermal ambient to junction resistance (theta JA in datasheet - it varies on package) and multiply that by the power dissipated by the part in their system to estimate junction temperature - which is the spec that actually determines if the part will be damaged w.r.t. temperature considerations. We don't specify max case temp on any of our RS232 devices.
