Does DS90UB949-Q1 require driver or Tools assistance in Windows? Do I need ALP & USB2ANY SDK to support it?

  • Hi Johnny,

When I click on the link it shows that the "Page Does Not Exist". Could you reattach the file?

In order to program the DS90UB949-Q1 using a PC, you will need ALP and a USB2ANY to go bridge from USB to I2C. The USB2ANY does not require a specific driver. It uses the HID driver built into windows. Are you using an EVM or a custom system?

  • Hi Jack,

    please refer the attached file.

Using a custom system. But we have not purchased USB2ANY yet. We cannot know the status of DS90UB949-Q1. The current configuration is as shown in the attachment. In addition, can I also ask questions about DS90UB947-Q1 & DS90UB948-Q1 here? We plan to use DS90UB949-Q1 and DS90UB947-Q1 to connect DS90UB948-Q1.

  • Hi Johnny,

The MODE_SELs on the 949 are correctly configured. Are you using pull-up resistors on the SDA and SCL lines? On the schematic they are marked as not populated.

You can ask questions about the UB947 and UB948 here.

    Best,

    Jack
