DP83867IR: Question about DP83867IR using for EtherCat.

Hello guys,

One of my customers is considering using DP83867IR for their new products which uses EtherCat.
But they found the following E2E thread regarding to EtherCat.

The Questioner in the E2E says that their customer needs to use DP83869 or DP83826

My customer has the following question.
Could you please give me your reply?

Q.
We need 1000M(1G)Hz data rate with EtherCat. So we think we can use DP83867IR because the device which has MII interface.

Is their thought correct?
And can DP83867IR be used with EtherCat without problem?
