Whether the 948 has a register that reflects the signal quality on the FPD3 is used to identify some potential video signal quality problems.

For example, some other serdes have a linkmargin to tested signal quality.

What else is TI except LINK_ERROR_COUNT and FORWARD_CHANNEL_SEQUENCE_ERROR?

Hello,

The UB948 can run the Margin Analysis Program (MAP) tool to analyze the link and see if it is marginal. In order to use MAP, ALP is required.

thanks for replay, we will test the cable in labrary.

but we want some register that can integrate to soc code that will periodicly read out to some logfile and we can determine the result of produce issue.

Besides the MAP program, the registers to monitor during operation are LINK_ERROR_COUNT and FORWARD_CHANNEL_SEQUENCE_ERROR as you mentioned earlier. Lock is also a diagnostic that can be monitored. Diagnostics during operation are limited for the UB948.
