DP83825I: RMII Repeater Mode

Hi,

If an external device is connected via 10Base-T in the RMII Repeater Mode configuration, will communication be possible?
I assume that RMII Repeater Mode connects by auto-negotiation.

For example, if PHY (Realtek) #0 and PHY (DP83825I) #1 are connected via 100BASE-TX, and PHY (DP83825I) #2 and external equipment are connected via 10BASE-T, will a problem occur?

Hello Hiroshi,

RMII does not rely on auto-negotiation. It does look like you are switching between link speeds from PHY 1 and PHY 2. While the hardware diagram does work in theory, a dealbreaker would be switching speeds in the signal chain. All speeds need to be the same in the chain for this to work.
