My customer is considering changing from DP83848 to DP83822. Could you please tell me if you can transfer the DP83848 software to DP83822? If you have any materials, I would appreciate it if you could share them.

Hi Taito,

There isn't a straightforward way to translate between DP83848 and DP83822. The latter PHY has more features than the former, and in general, it would be recommended to check the datasheet for pertinent register translation between devices.

There are Linux Driver examples for both PHYs to help customer get started:
