TFP401A-EP: DVI to VGA conversion

Hello,

we have to convert a DVI signal coming from a Displayport++ (dual mode) output into a standard VGA signal.

Is it possible to do this with a TFP401A-EP followed by a triple video DAC (such as THS8200-EP in 30 bit RGB 4:4:4 mode) directly feeded by the 3 pixel data busses and clock generated by TFP401A-EP?

Are there some technical documents available about this application (i.e. reference designs, app notes, etc.) ?

thanks for your answer. I asked this after having read Application Report SLLA325C about DVI/LVDS bridging, and this thread about LVDS/VGA conversion:

where it is suggested to use the THS8200 for converting the 24-bit RGB parallel (+ H/V sync) data from an LVDS receiver to a VGA signal. So my question is: why this won't not work on the TFP401A output, that is already a 24-bit parallel RGB + H/V sync?
Is there in TI 's portfolio any other video DAC that could work in this application?
