TCAL9539-Q1: Use as MSDI

Part Number: TCAL9539-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIC10024-Q1,

Hi team,

Can this use as a replacement for TIC10024-Q1? I'd like to check if this device can be used as 16ch MSDI.

Best Regards,

Shoji

  • The TCAL9539-Q1 has plain logic inputs. The TIC10024-Q1's inputs are much more robust and flexible, so it is unlikely that the TCAL would be able to handle the input signals in your application.

  • Hi Shoji,

The TIC10024-Q1 is designed for higher voltage automotive applications. TCAL9539-Q1 inputs are not rated for 12V unlike the TIC10024 where it can range from -24V to 40V abs. max (TCAL9539-Q1 is rated up to 4V I believe).

I don't know the customer application entirely, but I would err on the side that TCAL9539-Q1 probably wouldn't work in replacement of the TIC10024. Do we have more information on the system specs of the customer design? What is the customer attempting to accomplish here?

    Regards,

    Tyler

  • Hi Ladisch,

Thank you for your quick answer.

    Best Regards,
