DS125BR820: Routing Guideline - Max trace length, insertion loss, lane-lane length matching requirement

Part Number: DS125BR820

Hello

Would like to have the layout routing guideline- including the max trace length or insertion loss before and after the Repeater/Redriver, and the lane-to-lane length matching requirement.

Application: HDMI2.1

Thanks.

  • Hi,

You can follow the guidelines outlined in the layout section of the datasheet. You can also reference the layout shown in the EVM user's guide. Both are available on the DS125BR820 product page.

There is no max trace length spec. Make sure CML inputs and outputs have a controlled differential impedance of 100 ohms.

Regarding insertion loss, DS125BR820 can compensate 3 to 10 dB at 6 GHz.

    Best,

    Lucas
