TIDM-1005

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSS721A

In this design document (link is at the bottom), on page 18, 3 devices are connected in series. Data flows through each other. it is transferred from one to another. But shouldn't there be something made in the bus connection in the m-bus protocol? Isn't data transmitted directly on m-bus?

  • Ercan,

*Note that TIDM-1005 has been obsolete since 2021, so there is no longer any direct hosting or support of the reference design. However, I would be happy to help you out from my own understanding and knowledge of the solution.

You might be referring to the part of Figure 23 that shows arrows labeled "2" and "3"? This is done via M-Bus using the external M-Bus master module. The M-Bus slave using TSS721A is communicating through this external module to TIDM-1005.

    Best,

    Danny
