DS90UB928Q-Q1: Consultation on RE failure issues

Part Number: DS90UB928Q-Q1

Hi team,

My client Harman recently encountered a 928 RE problem. I hope you can help:

The current failure of RE is as shown in the screenshot. The current failed frequencies are all multiples of TX CLK. Our current frequency of TXCKL is 53.6M. This link currently
They are all connected to 0 ohm. If the 0 ohm is replaced by a capacitor, will it help the RE failure? If so, what size should be suitable?
Or is there anything that can be changed in the register configuration? The communication rate of LVDS connector is in the range of 1.7815 to 2.1G.

  • Hi Alan,

How has the customer confirmed this is related to the 928 output? Have they tested with the 928 powered off?

There is no SSCG on the 928, so there won't likely be a register solution. It is possible they may be able to slightly shift the PCLK if it is close to passing already.

CMCs on the OLDI output may help as well, these are very commonly used on OLDI traces.

    Regards,

    Ben
