Hi team,

Q1: Is the Mac Interface of the DP83867ERGZT compatible with RGMII-ID?


The following application note describes RGMII v2.0, so it probably supports it.
Please tell me just in case.

Q2: If you want to use the Mac Interface of the DP83867ERGZT with RGMII, if the MAC side supports RGMII-ID,
is it better to set the MAC PHY mode to RGMII-ID?

    Hi Ohashi,

    1. Yes, the DP83867ERGZT supports RGMII-ID, the RGMII Interface Timing Budgets is an excellent reference document. It talks about supporting RGMII v1.3 (Original) and v2.0 (RGMII-ID)

    2. If the MAC is set to RGMII-ID and the DP83867E is set to RGMII, as long as the timing requirements are met it will work.
