TUSB320: Did the tusb320 pass the USB-IF C function test?

Part Number: TUSB320

We gona use tusb320 as our production's typeC controller.

This production needs to pass USB IF verification, including the C function test.

C function test will follow this document in usb.org.

https://www.usb.org/sites/default/files/USB%20Type%20C%20Functional%20Test%20Specification%202023%2002%2023.pdf

When we tried to do the "TD4.5.1DRP Connect SinkTest" case, it failed in step Procedure 12. d.

It seems like the CC does not present Rd in tSRCDisconnect(20ms) when our production plays as a source after the sink(CVS) is disconected.

Could you please help to verify this?

Is it could be the first DRP advise duration should be started from Rd? Or the CVS(USB Type-C Connection Verification System) should not check first CC pull down after the first advise duration.. It is 24.374ms, more than 20ms.

  • Hi Walker,

It seems when the compliance test expects Rd, the 320 presents Rp, followed by Rd. I have a few requests to get a better idea of the test and your system.

Can you share the protocol trace file for this test? Specifically including any CC events.

Can you provide the schematic for the 320 and VBUS implementation? This may help us find the issue. If you would like to share it privately, you can accept my friend request and direct message the pdf file.

    Best,

    Shane

  • Hi Walker,

Are you able to provide the protocol trace, schematic, or any updates on this behavior?

If your issue has been resolved I can close this thread.

    Best,
