Hi expert team
We found that DP83822 will keep stuck while there are some pending interrupts in 0x12/0x13, and it will not response to cable connecting. Is it necessary for DP83822 to clear all interrupts before connecting? Thanks!

Hello,
I am unaware of this behavior of the PHY. If in case, are you ensuring that PHY's interrupt pin has been properly configured via Reg 0x11[0]? In addition, if interrupts are disabled by disabling the respective enables on Reg 0x12, 0x13, are they still seeing the issue?
Sincerely,
Gerome
Hi Gerome
Thanks for your reply! Yes, read and clear 0x12/13 can solve this issue. Could you test on EVM? We've already told them disable the interrupt since they are using EtherCAT.
Hello,
I will need to check in lab, but I am unsure if I can recreate an interrupt in a lab environment on the EVM. If they are using EtherCAT and therefore not using the interrupt, why is customer still looking into this?
Sincerely,
Gerome
