Dear all,

I'm trying to operate the DS125DF1610EVM. 

As the first step I wanted to turn on the PRBS generator and to observed the signal at the .

So far without success.

Only the supply (2.5V) and a Ref clock 25MHz (single ended) was connected to the EVB.

Via the High Level Page (in the GUI), the the PRBS Generator function has been activated and the PRBS Generator was enabled. Via the TX FIR/VOD page, the TX driver amplitude and the edge rate were set.

No tx nor clock monitor signals were detected by the scope.

What I'm missing?

    Hi Almog,

    I have some questions about your setup.

    1. Are you measuring the PRBS signal with the internal eye opening monitor, or with an external scope? If you are trying to measure with the internal eye opening monitor, this will not work because the EOM block comes before the PRBS generator block in the signal chain.
    2. Can you try connecting an input signal while using the PRBS generator? This input can be a clock signal at a sub rate of the PRBS frequency you wish to use. Having a signal that the CDR can lock to helps with frequency stability.
    3. Regarding the reference clock, can you check these shared register settings on the low level page and confirm they are correct?
