SATA/LVDS : How to pinswap D+/D- ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS64BR111

Hello,

We have to interface to a custom made SATA drive. Our customer don't have the full spec of its device and don't know the polarities of the A and B SATA lanes.

There is a potential swap in each A and B lanes, making 4 possibilities. Is there a chip to place between the SATA device and the host to swap +/- lines according to an external signal ?

Thank you,

Regards

Nicolas

  • Hi Nicolas,

Here is an idea: Please take a look at DS64BR111. You can take (+) to the IN+ and (-) to the IN- of the DS64BR111. Then on the output you take DS64BR111 (OUT+) to the (-) input and (OUT-) to the (+) input of the receiver. This device has other functionality as well. However, polarity reversal - as you need - cannot be done automatically.

    Regards, Nasser
