TCAN1044AV-Q1: Query on Standby mode configuration of TCAN1044AVDRQ1

Part Number: TCAN1044AV-Q1

Hi TI Team,

We have small query in standby mode configuration of TCAN1044AVDRQ1.

In the yellow highlighted row, condition to be in standby mode is given as TXD=0V whether through software do we need to configure it as low?

Kindly could you please revert as soon as possible.

Thanks, and Regards,

Tarun.

  • This table is from Datasheet of  TCAN1044AV- Q1-> 7.6 Supply Characteristics, Page 5

  • Tarun,

The TXD pin does not control the state of the TCAN1044AV-Q1. The STB pin is what controls the state of the device. Please see Table 9-4 Operating Modes in the data sheet for additional information.

In your snippet, the test conditions are clarifying the conditions under which the device is tested for this condition to apply. The condition of TXD = 0 V helps measure the worst-case condition here, since there is a weak internal pull-up in the TXD pin (see Table 9-3 Pin Bias).

The TXD pin is responsible for determining the output state of the driver in Normal mode, but when the STB pin is high (and therefore the device is in Standby mode), then the driver is off and the TXD pin does not have an effect on the bus.

    Best,

    Danny
