TUSB8044AEVM: EVK was damaged after EFT 2.2kV power testing

We tried to connect this EVK to our PCBA, and then result was functional before EFT power test, However, it didn’t work at all as after EFT. Please check it asap. Thanks.

Hi Brian,

We modified that the EVK's 5V power soure was from external power adaptor to our PCBA's BUCK 5V output, and TUSB8044A instead of PCBA's original USB hub. And then EFT power 2.2kV on our PCBA's power input 24V. Before EFT, EVK was functional; After EFT, EVK was no function at all.

I'm not sure if TUSB8044A was tested with EFT standard before, but I will check with our PE and give you update.

Sorry for the late reply. We never tested EFT before for our hub, What is the pulse width for 2.2kv into the 24v?
