The MPU currently in use has an eDP interface.
I want to convert it into a standard DP output image.
Does Ti have an IC with this function?
Thanks

The main differences between DP and eDP are the number of electrical wires, different physical connectors, and different usage models. For example, eDP has an option of supplying backlight power to the LCD panel, getting indication from an ambient light sensor and controlling monitor’s brightness.
But in terms of the main links, it is the same, and you do not need a converter.
Keng,
If you are asking about DisplayPort audio, it is included in the main link data along with the video data

Hi Casey
thank for your response
Because the IC I chose only has an eDP interface, I want to confirm whether the eDP interface can be connected to a standard DP and retain all the functions of the DP,
such as image, sound, etc.
Keng,
Yes, generally speaking DP and eDP are directly compatible without any sort of conversion IC.

Casey
