Hi,

1. can we program the redriver via sm bus using adapter cards other than usb2any or aardvark?

2. do eeprom also need above said adapter cards?

3. in DS320PR1601RSCEVM design file there are two signals namely scl_c and scl , sda_c and sda going to pin b5 and b6 of pciex16 connector.

a) do r78 and r79 are placed in final design?

b) if so is there any issue when two scl/sda going to one pin?

1). Yes any other third party I2C controller, FPGA, or ASIC can be used to program the device.

2). Same as #1 above, any I2C controller can be used to program the EEPROM. Please refer to your EEPROM data sheet. Additionally DS320PR1601 GUI can be used to program the EEPROM as well.

3a). These are open collector signals. The answer is yes and no. Some end points may have issue when placing R78 and R79. In our EVMs, we remove these two Resistors.

Does SigCon architect works only using USB2ANY or Aadvark module?
