Hi support team.

I am referring to this forum post.

In a reply to one post, the low level (VOL) on the S side did not meet the I2C basic specification of 0.4Vmax, and it was necessary to add a buffer to correct the discrepancy.

What specific circuits or products do you recommend using?

I appreciate if you could give me some advice.

TCA9800/1/2/3 (up to 3.3 V) or TCA9517(A) (5 V). (Please note that you must connect the A side of these buffers to the P82B96.)

Hi Higa,

In additional to Clemens comments, I suggest you also look into the TCA9617B and TCA9509 as additional options for an I2C bus buffer/re-driver.

TCA9800/1/2/3 are all the same family. The ending number denotes the drive strength of the internal current source present in the device. Other than that, they are all the same device.
