TRS3122E: The result of the IEC61000-4-2 / contact +8kV, DOUT1 pin of TRS3122ERGER is failed. please let me know any information about ESD.

Part Number: TRS3122E

I tested ESD test for our equipment includes TRS3122ERGER.
ESD test condition is IEC61000-4-2 / contact +8kV.
As a result of, failure occurs in DOUT1 pin of TRS3122ERGER.
But TRS3122ERGER datasheet denotes this device accept ESD IEC61000-4-2 / contact +/-8kV (from absolute maximum ratings, datasheet page 4).
And I put ESD suppressor device EZAEG2N50AX in RS232C communication line includes DOUT1+.
I don't know reason why this failure occurs, please let me know any information about ESD.

Do you have the tested unit? If you still have the failed unit can you please take a picture of the top of the device so I can trace the part in our internal systems?

What I asked for is not confidential because it is TI's unit that I am asking of a top picture of - I need to trace the unit to see if its legitimate so I can decide what the better path for you is which is going to be through TI.com portal.

If you can't do that than I can't help you.

Thank you for information by private messege.

I investigated about position of ESD suppressor, then I changed position of ESD suppressor on our board.

As a result of this change, our board passed in +/-15kV ESD test.

I think my issue is resolved and marks this topic close.
