LVDS to MIPI-CSI2 for Sony FCB camera

The UB947 + UB940 solution can be used to convert LVDS signals to CSI-2 signals. For a 1080p60 resolution, a dual link is required between the UB947 and the UB940.

I looked at the datasheet and reference manual for the  Sony EV9500L and saw that the output data is not RGB but YCbCr.

This is not compatible with the UB947 as it expects RGB input. The UB940 uses the incoming RGB data and timing information to create CSI-2 packets on the UB940 output.

The incoming LVDS data must be in RGB input and conform to the LVDS mapping shown in UB947 datasheet section 7.3.4

Hi Khang,

What's important for the UB947 input is that the DE, Hsync, and Vsync signals are mapped to the proper oLDI slot. This allows the data to be recreated properly on the deserializer side.
