Would you like to recommend an SPI redriver IC or series?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0304

Hello Team,

Need your help to provide TI recommend

QSPI interface We use two components on the motherboard.
These two TI components are SN74CBTLV3257PWR and TMUX154ERSWR.
Re-evaluating the RISER board requires adding a re-driver or re-timer design mechanism.

Require:

1.SPI Freq: under 66MHz.

2.eSPI voltage is 1.8V;

    QSPI voltage is 3.3V.

3.direction needs support bidirectional.

4.QSPI:As briefly mentioned above,

    it is recommended whether Riser has a design that can

    support similar functions such as re-driver or re-timer.

5.eSPI:There is no special intermediate component processing on the motherboard. It is recommended on RISER whether there are similar recommended design components.

Thanks

  • It is not possible to re-drive a bidirectional signal (because the buffer does not know which of the two signals on the two sides should override the other one).

    A transceiver (SN74xxx245) would require a direction control signal, which neither QSPI nor eSPI have. There are bidirectional voltage translators like the TXB0304, but their output signals are so weak that they cannot be used for buffering.
