DP83822IF: PHY Link not established

Hi Team,

May I ask your setup? What is the link partner? A block diagram would be helpful.

After you perform a link up. Could you try to write 0x001F to 4000 and read 0x0001 multiple times and see if you are able to see a link up? Fiber link up indication could be read only after a soft reset.

Thank you for sharing the detail information. It seems like you are strap into correct mode. If possible, could you also check 0x467 to double confirm that you are in a fiber mode.

Based on your setup, we see that you are connecting fiber between DP83822 and PC. If possible, could you connect DP83822 to another DP83822 to see if you are able to see fiber communication?

On your fiber circuitry, did you have the right schematic like the following diagram:

Dear Hillman,

   Our fiber circuitry is same as you share.

I able read PHY registers values till 31 & above that i get 0xffea so not able to check FX mode status.

as I mention in my first post. We have another PHY board DP83849IF which works fine with the same FO connector.

If possible, I would like to read register 0x000A and 0x0467 to confirm on the operating mode in DP83822PHY. Please take a look on the following FAQ to access register higher than 0x0031:

Could you also probe the signal on Fiber pin to see if you are able to see any activity on the lines?

The reason why we are asking to change a link partner to DP83822 to see if there is link between the two is mainly for debugging.
