Hi Shekha,

The SN74LVC125A_PW_14 is used to drive the LED indicators and PERST_INV signal on the DS320PR1601RSCEVM, indicated in Figure 3-6 of the DS320PR1601RSCEVM User's Guide.

Hi,

Could you please tell the use of push button switch for READ_EN# in DS320PR1601RSCEVM .

Since READ_EN# is an active low signal , do we short pins 2 and 3 of JMP23. If so A1 and A2 will be LOW and B1 and B2 will be pulled to 3.3V.

Then why we need the push button switch SW1?

Hi Shekha,

The push button switch placed on the DS320PR1601RSCEVM can be used to force EEPROM read when the device is in MODE = L1 (SMBus Primary Mode/EEPROM Mode), as referenced in the DS320PR1601 EVM User's Guide. If READ_EN_# is toggled high by the pushbutton press and then subsequently toggled low by pushbutton release, the device initiates an EEPROM read.
