TRS202E: TRS202EIPWR

Part Number: TRS202E

Dears,

The output high and low levels of the TRS202EIPWR are different from the specifications,The Spec shows output is ±9V,but the test data is ±6.5V,when short the TX/RX,the output is lower than ±6.5V.

Attachfile is the schematic and the waveform,Pls kindly help to check it.

Thanks

  • Hi Ning,

    A few things:

    1. Your schematic doesn't look correct -  you have 5 capacitors in the charge pump circuit - C4 or C8 needs to be removed as V+ should have a cap to GND (suggested) or a cap to VCC.

    2. What is the load? - is it driving another RS-232 device? Or something else - you can see lower voltage than expected if the bus is overloaded.

    3. It is technically within spec:

Typical values are not guarantees, but the minimum values are - assuming you are meeting test conditions.

So it does look like there could be issues with schematic and I would like to confirm what the transceiver is actively driving - if you can show the entire RS_232 bus it would be helpful. Ultimately however as long as this device outputs +/-5V at 3K ohm loads or greater it is technically within specification.

If you could please confirm load so I can check if there is an application issue - but as of now it looks like the charge pump may be setup wrong.

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
