TUSB2077A: In TUSB2077 how to avoid pen drive to detect at downstream USB ports

Hi,

We are using TUSB2077 7-port hub circuit in one of industrial automation project.

The circuit is working ok. but our customer required below function.

1. In TUSB2077 how to avoid pen drive to detect at downstream USB ports and to only detect keyboard and mouse HID devices.

Hi:

TUSB2077 can not avoid detecting pen-drive at downstream ports if pen drive is FS or low speed device.

There is no easy solution:

In the USB standard there are USB classes a memory stick (pen drive) is USB mass storage class, keyboard, mouse, joystick are USB HID class.

when the USB device is plugged in there is a communication between the USB device (firmware) and the PC (USB host) . In this communication the device says which USB class it it and the host loads the fitting driver. So you need to ask host to stop loading driver for Pen drive.
