Hi Team,
When I add 60V voltage from the CANH and CANL pins, it will burn out. What is the test protection conditions for ±70V?

Hi Eric,
Yes, we apply the voltage to each CANH and CANL relative to GND.
May I clarify the correct set up for this 70V bus fault test.
1. do we need to power on the TCAN1042H ?
2. Do we need give "H" or "L" level to TXD pin
PY,
The device shouldn't need to be powered on for the 70V protection to work. And the state of the TXD pin shouldn't matter. As an experiment, can you try with the power on? And can you also capture the voltage on the pin as the power supply is turned on with an oscilloscope? I'm curious if there is a voltage spike initially that goes over 60V before settling, and maybe this is causing some damage.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your support, we found the root cause. Customer had mounted the wrong device. It is not TCAN1042H
