My customer now wants to test the communication quality for PHY, DP83822I, using eye pattern method.

Do we have some materials for the principle and test process of eye pattern test?

Do we have the layout guidance for DP83822I, more detailed than the datasheet? Also, what is the requirement for network port plug, like RJ45?

I am not sure about what eye pattern method you are talking about. Can you please expand?

In addition, layout guidance can be found in SNLA387.

For integrated RJ-45, there is already guidance in datasheet under magnetics/transformer selection.

Hi Bowen,

You may test with throughput from MAC to MAC with the PHY. If that communication is fine, then there shouldn't be any issues.
