Hi Brian, I am in the same boat. The .brd file on the website does not open in the Cadence Allegro Viewer because they don't seem to support down rev versions of Allegro in the viewer. I'd like to get the .alg version of the board so that I can import it to Altium.
Hi Piotr::
Unfortunately , there is no *alg file included with TUSB4041PAPEVM files. But If customer still need files, Please let me know.
Regards
Brian
Hi Justin:
Here are all the files we have, from this link, it looks you can transfer to Altium from *brd file.
https://www.altium.com/documentation/altium-designer/allegro-import
If you still need these files, please accept my friendship request and I can send these files to you.
Regards
Brian
Hi Brian,
As the article states, you have to have Cadence Allegro installed on your computer to convert from the .brd file. If you do not have Allegro then you need the design saved as a .alg file, which can be imported into Altium directly.
The next best thing are Gerber files or ODB++ files, but those are not listed in the image you posted. I appreciate the offer, but of the files that are not already on the website, none of them will help.
Hi Justin:
Normally we should have all those files with Allegro format, but unfortunately this old device only has *brd and *dsn. It's ok for Allegro users , but not good for Altium users.
Can I close this ticket?
Regards
Brian
Hi Brian,
Can I close this ticket?
I would rather you did not close it.
Texas Instruments is a big company, there must be somewhere the software needed to export the board at least to gerber files.
Maybe there is someone on the forum that can do it?
Kind regards,
Piotr Romaniuk
Hi Piotr :
Let me ask TI Altium support team to see if they can help to convert *brd to Altium file.

Brian
