I want simulate from SN65LVCP601 to SSD about SATA signal.

Question
Q1. Could you please provide IBIS-AMI files about SN65LVCP601.

Q2. Is ADS the correct simulation tool to use?
Q3. Where should I put user driver or reciever in Sample schematics(3364.lvcp601_AMI_users_guide.pdf) ?

Q4. If I want to see SSD recieve Waveform, use only Tx model？

Please consider DS64BR111 for this design. IBIS-AMI model for this part is available - please note link below.

Typically equalizer is used on the RX side where we have highest loss. Your ADS simulations would provide optimum location for the RX and TX sides.

We are supplying SATA HOST DEVICE and SSD.
Our customer is using SN65LVCP601, we want IBIS-AMI for SN65LVCP601.
Please tell me SN65LVCP601 simulate on ADS.

Separately we will introduce DS64BR111.

Greetings,

1). Yes the setting for the AMI model - TX and RX - and auto set pin are correct.

2). Your understanding is correct. You need to replace these with your own ASIC TX/RX and s4p transmission media.

3). Port ordering for s4p files are typically 1&2 on inputs 3&4 on output. You can also use ADS s-parameter checker to verify this. Please note image below:
