DP83TG720S-Q1: Is it possible to provide the PHY driver for the 4.19 kernel version?

Hi team，

I recommend customers to download the PHY driver code from ti.com. However, customers reported that the official website driver cannot be compiled at present. The reason is that the official website driver kernel version is 5.10.0, but the Linux kernel code used by Neusoft's current project is 4.19, which does not match. Can you help provide the driver code for DP83TG720S-Q1 Linux kernel version 4.19?

Currently, the adapter version is used to debug and read the "DP83TG720 media converter" evaluation module. The PHY-ID read is 2000A231. It cannot match the PHY driver provided on the official website. Is it possible to provide the PHY driver of the 4.19 kernel version?

    Hi Alan,

    Could you ask the customer to double check that they are using the most updated version of the linux driver I've attached? Unfortunately we only have linux driver support for version 5.10 and above. 

    If the customer wants to change the driver code for linux version 4.19, they will have to do so themselves.
