    And we would like to know more about DP83867 as following topics. Please help to reply these questions. Or hold a online meeting and let's discuss it. Thank you.

    • Can detect cable open/short/Split/distance to fault for UTP/STP cable?
    • Can detect cable length for UTP/STP cable?
    • Can detect the speed link up to 1Gb if the PHY is connected with switch?
    • Can use a MCU to communicate with this PHY?
    • Can detect TDR when switch is connected?

    Hi Jimmy,

    The TDR capabilities are located on the datasheet and attached app note.

    The PHY is a 10/100/1G device which can linkup with similar devices to obtain the necessary linkup.

    A MCU like MSP430F5529 can be used to communicate with the PHY to obtain register access.
