Hi,
Can the TS3DV421 chip be used with one HDMI or DVI input on one side and one HDMI + one DVI output on A and B channels on the other side ?
The datasheet only mention a configuration with two sources instead.
Best regards,
CB

Hello, CB,
The TS3DV421 is compatible with HDMI v1.3 and DVI 1.0 High-Speed Digital Interfaces.
Therefore, you can have, the following possible configurations:
1. HDMI 1.3 MUX solution: HDMI v1.3 source going in to the TS3DV421 and then selects one of the two channels to output HDMI v1.3
2. DVI 1.0 MUX solution: Same as 1. but can do the same with a DVI 1.0 source
3. HDMI 1.3 DEMUX solution: HDMI v1.3 with two sources going in to the TS3DV421 and then selects one of the two sources input to the output
4. DVI 1.0 DEMUX solution: Same as 3. but can do the same with a DVI 1.0 source
Thanks,
Zach
Hello,
Do you need to use the audio signal that's on the HDMI connection? If so you'll need a fully active converter. Otherwise, you can use it since HDMI it is backwards compatible since it is electrically compatible with DVI.
Thanks,
