Hello, I was trying to find a Form, Fit and Functionally equivalent replacement for the MAX3223IDW (20-SOIC). I found a similar transceiver MAX3222EIDWR (20-SOIC) but but Pin-14 (NC) is different than Pin-14 (FORCEON) of MAX3223IDW. Data rate is also higher (500kbps) on MAX3222EIDWR (20-SOIC).

MAX3223EIDBR (20-SSOP) has a similar Pin configuration but different packaging.

Does Texas instrument recommend any FFF replacement for MAX3223IDW (20-SOIC)?

The PDN says that no P2P device is available.

You have to either use a device without auto-powerdown (3222), or redesign the board for a more common package.

Hi Nasim,

Clemens is correct - there is no P2P device. If you are not using auto-powerdown than the MAX3222E would be the next best option - or a redesign of the system if you need the auto-powerdown and the increased speed is a concern (500kbps is still really slow especially for shorter buses like RS-232).
