TUSB1042I: Slave not detected in FLIPPED Direction

Is the PD controller driving FLIP high in both orientations, or just one?

If FLIP is high in both orientations, there could be an issue with the PD controller or the CC lines in your design.

If this is not the case, would you be able to share your schematic? I'd like to see if there are any issues with the 1042 implementation.

Hi Sanchit,

Are you operating in I2C mode or GPIO mode? FLIP becomes SCL in I2C mode.

- If you are in I2C mode be sure to control the device flip via the FLIPSEL register

- If you are in GPIO mode, did you check that CTL0 is driven high in both orientations? If CTL0 is low the device will power down.
