TUSB2036: TUSB2036

Part Number: TUSB2036
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8020B

I use this device to split USB2.0 from a USB3.0 signal ( I need one USB3.0 to ethernet + one USB2.0 come from a USB3.0 port).

I think The PC is seeing my board as a USB1.1 hub .

Because when I connect my board to USB3.0 I have a 1GB Ethernet and one USB1.1, and when I connect it to usb2.0 I don't have any ethernet and one usb1.1 .

If my hub provide usb2.0 to the USB to ethernet I should have 100MB Ethernet.

Question:

1- How I can make sure the hub is on low speed mode or just the USB2.0 connector getting low speed?

2- How to fix the problem?

Thanks

  • Hi Sam:

TUSB2036 is USB2 FS hub, any device connected to TUSB2036 downstream port will show as FS device.

You can use TUSB8020B as USB3/2 hub, Ethernet is connected to 8020B port 1, then TUSB2036 is connected to 8020B port 2.

So you have one port  for USB3 Etherent and another port for USB2 FS device.

last you can add 1.5k pullup on DM0 of TUSB2036 to make it low speed hub.

    Regards
